Maral Nakashian, CPA, is a Partner in Aronson’s Tax Services Group. She holds an M.S.T Degree from American University in Washington, D.C.; a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in College Park, graduating cum laude; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from American University in Beirut, Lebanon.

Maral spent the first eight years of her career in the banking industry where she provided a variety of investment services. During her ten years in public accounting she has specialized in both the automotive and real estate industries, currently focusing on the federal and state taxation of real estate enterprises. As part of this focus, she manages clients’ accounting and taxation needs, with the ultimate goal of increasing their profitability and decreasing their tax liability.

As an active participant in the accounting profession and her community, Maral is a member of the AICPA and she serves as the Treasurer of NVTA; she also provides articles and expert commentary for topics relating to real estate and taxation. In addition, she volunteers at her church and is a member and former Treasurer of the Armenian Relief Society.
