Larry graduated magna cum laude from Towson State University in 1987 with Bachelor's Degrees in Accounting and Economics.
Since joining the firm in 2000, Larry has provided small business start-up and growth stage guidance, tax planning and compliance services for businesses and high net worth individuals. He specializes in tax controversy and business dispute matters. As a trusted and objective advisor to his clients, he helps them understand the tax implications of their day-to-day choices and then works with them to create immediate and long-term tax planning strategies to minimize risk and liability.
With their best interests always in mind, Larry represents clients before federal and local governments to negotiate tax debts and resolve tax disputes, including individual and business income tax examinations, worker classification disputes, reasonable compensation audits of “C” and “S” corporations by the IRS, and other targeted audit programs. His ability to present tax issues in layman’s terms has served him well in his work testifying before the courts as an expert witness in civil litigation matters. He has acted as neutral intermediary for business disputants, gaining each side’s trust while navigating the financial aspects of the business to successful conclusion.
Larry is frequently called upon to make presentations regarding practical business and tax topics to organizations like the Washington Board of Trade, Northern Virginia Technology Council, and presentations on a national level for industry associations.
