Melvyn Leshinsky, JD, MBA, now retired from his position as an Aronson LLC Partner, serves as Consultant to the firm’s Tax Services Group. He joined the firm in 1971. Mel earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Long Island University in 1964, a Master of Business Administration, Specializing in Taxation from Pace College in 1966 and his Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in 1969. He has spent over 38 years in public accounting, providing financial accounting, income, estate and gift tax planning, financial planning, litigation support and business and management consulting services to businesses, individuals, development-stage and operating companies.
Mel's clients include health care practices, hospitality service providers, entrepreneurs, and a wide range of closely held businesses. He has extensive experience in the purchase and sale of businesses, and other business combinations. He has served as an interim CFO and CEO to a number of companies.
As an expert in the field, he has made numerous presentations to national, regional and local associations of health care providers and other professional organizations on topical subjects, including practice management, valuation of professional practices, and income tax planning. He has authored numerous articles appearing in national tax journals and health care publications.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Public School Educational Foundation and Prizm Dental Partners, and was a co-founder of the Chesapeake Center. Mel is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America directory. |
