Rockville, MD, September 2, 2009 /PRNewswire/ -- The Aronson Foundation, a charitable organization, is pleased to announce that it has awarded a $20,000 grant to The Gordon and Marilyn Macklin Business Institute (MBI) at Montgomery College. This grant establishes the Aronson Foundation Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships over the next five years to MBI students pursuing accounting careers.
“The Aronson Foundation is fully committed to the education of the people of this community and we think Macklin is a top-rate program,” remarked Jeffery Capron, President of the Aronson Foundation. He continued, “The accounting profession offers wonderfully diverse opportunities and, as such, we are thrilled to be able to promote the profession while doing what we can to help our community.”
The MBI honors program provides a business honors education to Montgomery College's top business students. Founded in 1999, more than 150 students have graduated from the program and transferred to some of the country's top four-year universities, including Columbia University, New York University, Georgetown University and the University of Maryland.
